Norwegian Cruise Line upgrades two ships for summer season

Enhancements include new adults-only spaces, pickleball courts and more staterooms

Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) will make upgrades to ships Norwegian Epic and Pride of America for the 2025 cruise summer season, following feedback from guests.

Norwegian Epic has been in dry dock for three weeks undergoing enhancements to deliver more outdoor experiences. This includes a refreshed children’s water park, as well as expansion of the adults-only Vibe Beach Club, which replaces Posh Beach Club and has an extra hot tub, more lounge chairs and new private cabanas.

There will also be eight new staterooms.

The ship will sail 9, 10 and 11-day cruises from Rome in Italy to the Mediterranean and Greek Islands including Santorini, Mykonos and Malta, as well as historic mainland ports such as Naples.

Following its summer season in Europe, Norwegian Epic will return to San Juan in Puerto Rico and offer round-trip, seven-day Southern Caribbean cruises to the British Virgin Islands, Antigua, Barbados, St Lucia, St Maarten and the US Virgin Islands.

Pride of America will return to Honolulu from dry dock on 31 May 2025 to offer guests NCL’s seven-day, multi-island Hawaii cruise 52 weeks a year, which includes overnight stays in Maui and Kauai.

In April 2025, NCL expanded its marketing solution for travel advisors across the Middle East. NCL Connect provides travel agents in the region with a trade marketing solution so they can co-brand digital content experiences and campaigns for regional clients.

The cruise line recently unveiled updates for its private island in the Bahamas, Great Stirrup Cay, with new experiences including an expansive pool area with a dedicated bar and kids splash zone, all due to debut at the end of 2025.
