Discover Qatar launches aerial tours of city’s landmark sights

Qatar Airways’ destination management company Discover Qatar has launched a programme of air tours entitled ‘Discover Doha by Air’.

The tours take place on board a Cessna 208 Caravan light aircraft, accommodating eight passengers in its air-conditioned cabin with large windows.

Passengers will be able to take an aerial view of some of Doha’s landmark sights, while onboard headphones allow them to hear the pilot’s in-flight commentary.

The route flies over Al Thumama Stadium, Aspire Zone and Education City and then moves towards Lusail Stadium, Al Bayt Stadium and Thakira Mangrove Forest. The journey continues with flybys over The Pearl Island, Al Safliya Island, Katara Cultural Village and West Bay.

Before reaching the airport, the aircraft will fly over the Corniche, National Museum of Qatar, Museum of Islamic Art and Stadium 974.
