The two-tower development will be among the tallest buildings in the UAE
Corinthia Hotels plans to build a two-tower hotel and residence in Dubai, with the 500-metre landmark marking the brand’s first property in the UAE.
Being built in partnership with Dubai General Properties, the luxury development will become one of the world’s tallest buildings, and also a close neighbour to upcoming Burj Azizi which is due to become the world’s second tallest building, after Dubai’s Burj Khalifa.
Launched in February 2025, the 725-metre Burj Azizi will include an all suite ‘seven-star’ hotel.
The Corinthia Hotel will have a contemporary style, with the two towers conjoined by a cantilevered sky lobby 200 metres above ground. This is similar to the design of the nearby One Za’abeel.

“We are proud and honoured to be bringing the Corinthia brand to Dubai, a city I know and love from my decade-long residence here,” said Simon Casson, CEO of Corinthia Hotels.
“This architectural gem honours the ambitious vision set forth by the inspired leadership of Dubai and is made possible by our valued partnership with Dubai General Properties. Both hotel and residences will be defining in their design and level of aspirational luxury.”
Casson was previously president of Europe, Middle East and Africa for Four Seasons and was based in Dubai. He joined Corinthia Hotels in April 2024.

The development will include the five-star luxury Corinthia Dubai, alongside Corinthia-branded serviced penthouses and apartments. Guests and residents will have exclusive access to a spa with indoor and outdoor pools, cutting-edge fitness equipment, personal trainers and a team of health and wellbeing experts.
There will be five restaurants and bars, multiple rooftop pools, including private pools for penthouses and select residences. A private members’ club and green spaces will offer a rare sanctuary in the city.
Topping it all, quite literally, will be the world’s highest outdoor sky pool, over 500 metres above ground and offering 360-degree views.
“It is a true privilege to introduce this bold and visionary statement to our city, right where our journey in property development began,” said Jassim Al Ali, Managing Director of Dubai General Properties.
“Dubai stands as a pioneer in luxury tourism, and we are thrilled to unveil an innovative new concept that not only elevates our hospitality standards but also captivates both our people and the world.”
Founded in Malta in 1968, Corinthia Hotels began with the original Corinthia Palace in Malta and expanded to London, New York and Brussels. Now, the company is developing properties in Rome, Doha, Riyadh and Dubai, alongside resorts in the Maldives.
Middle East properties are expected to have between 70 and 150 keys, alongside high-end restaurants and bars, and state-of-the-art gyms and wellness facilities.
