Daily service to commence from 10 November
Dubai-based low-cost carrier Flydubai will add a second destination in Nepal (pictured) to its flight network next month.
In addition to Kathmandu, a new daily service to Bhairahawa Airport, also known as Gautam Buddha International Airport (BWA), will commence from 10 November 2024.
The Flydubai will operate from Terminal 2 at Dubai International (DXB) with Emirates code sharing on the route. Return flights to Dubai will operate via Kathmandu, supporting the growing demand for travel between Dubai and Nepal.

Flights will depart DXB at 08:15, arriving in BWA at 14:00, the return services will leave Bhairahawa at 15:00, stopping off in Kathmandu at 15:45, before departing Kathmandu at 16:45, landing back in Dubai at 20:10.
Commenting on the service, Sudhir Sreedharan, Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations (UAE, GCC, Africa and the Indian Subcontinent) at Flydubai, said: “Bhairahawa Airport is Nepal’s second international airport and is located in Siddharthanagar serving the Lumbini Province, the birthplace of Gautama Buddha.”
Flydubai recently began operations to Basel in Switzerland, Islamabad and Lahore in Pakistan and Kerman and Kish Island in Iran, growing its network to 126 destinations in 55 countries.
