Qatar’s Chiva-Som-branded resort retains title at World Travel Awards

Zulal Wellness Resort by Chiva-Som has been named the Middle East’s Leading Retreat 2024 at the World Travel Awards for the second consecutive year.

Billing itself as the ‘Middle East’s first full immersion wellbeing resort', the complex opened in 2022, bringing Thailand's renowned wellness hospitality brand Chiva-Som to the region for the first time.

The World Travel Awards were established in 1993. Its trophy joins a number of accolades won by the resort in 2024, including Best Spa Retreat in the Middle East at the 2024 Luxury Spa Edit Awards and Multigenerational Wellness Resort of the Year at the Compare Retreats’ Luxury Wellness Travel Awards 2024.

Located on the coast in northern Qatar, Zulal Wellness Resort by Chiva-Som welcomes families to its Wellness at Zulal Discovery programmes, while Zulal Serenity programmes are targeted at individuals and couples aged 16 and over.

Accommodation for Serenity guests comprises 60 rooms, while 120 rooms spread out across the resort’s desert, sea and lagoon locations are allocated to Discovery guests.
