All restaurants across region’s 19 countries remain eligible
The Middle East & North Africa’s 50 Best Restaurants awards will return to Abu Dhabi, with the 2025 edition to take place on 28 January 2025.
Held in partnership with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), the UAE capital is cementing its spot as an emerging global gastronomic hotspot.
After a hiatus from the live awards ceremony in 2024, the 2025 in-person programme will provide an opportunity for chefs, restaurateurs and media to recognise the vast array of culinary achievements from across the region.
All restaurants across the 19 countries of the Middle East and North Africa remain eligible.

The third list of Middle East & North Africa’s 50 Best Restaurants, announced in February 2024, highlighted the diversity and richness of the region’s gastronomy, featuring restaurants from 14 cities, with Dubai’s Orfali Bros Bistro named The Best Restaurant in the Middle East & North Africa 2024, taking the top spot for the second year in a row.
William Drew, Director of Content for 50 Best, said: “This edition will showcase a broad spectrum of exceptional restaurants and hospitality teams alongside a stimulating 50 Best event programme.
“Our goal is to inspire global travellers and food enthusiasts to embark on new culinary journeys and explore the vibrant dining scene of the Middle East and North Africa.
“We recognise this remains a hugely challenging period for many in the region but believe that our role is to support the hospitality sector in such times.”
Highlights from the 2025 programme in Abu Dhabi will include thought-leadership forum #50BestTalks; Flavours of 50 Best, an evening brunch event that features dishes from some of the world's leading chefs, and an extensive series of 50 Best Signature Sessions – collaborative dining events featuring chefs from across the globe and the best regional talent. Key events will be ticketed.
Three special awards announcements will precede the live programme: MENA’s Best Female Chef Award, the Art of Hospitality Award and the American Express One To Watch Award.
