Coldplay adds Abu Dhabi show to world tour

UAE capital to host the band's only GCC concert, boosting inbound event tourism 

Coldplay is bringing their Music of the Spheres World Tour to the UAE, with the band choosing Abu Dhabi as the location for its exclusive GCC performance.

The Grammy Award-winning band led by Chris Martin will perform one show at Zayed Sports City Stadium on 11 January 2025.

The announcement marks a historic moment for UAE fans, who have been eagerly awaiting Coldplay’s return to the capital since 2016.

Presented by Live Nation in the UAE, the Music of the Spheres World Tour has sold more than 10 million tickets across Europe, North America, Latin America, Asia, Australia and New Zealand, since kicking off in March 2022, making it the most highly attended tour by a group of all time.

Adding to its extensive two-and-a half-year outing, along with Abu Dhabi, the tour is also travelling to Mumbai, Seoul and Hong Kong between January and April of 2025. 

In addition to performing several hits from their Album of the Year-nominated Music of the Spheres as well as new singles We Pray and Feelslikeimfallinginlove from upcoming album Moon Music, the group will incorporate anthems from the band’s incredible back-catalogue in  a stadium show lit by with lasers, fireworks and LED wristbands. 

Tickets for Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres World Tour in Abu Dhabi will be available on Live Nation Middle East, the Middle East’s leading entertainment platform. The artist presale for the Abu Dhabi show begins on 25 September 2024. 

Coldplay’s upcoming album, Moon Music, lands on 4 October 2024.
