Dubai Airshow 2025 returns as regional aviation takes off

Dubai Airshow 2025 returns as regional aviation takes off

December event will showcase latest technology, including flying taxis

Aviation is a key driver of tourism in the Middle East, and with regional airlines reporting a 9.4% traffic rise in 2024 compared to 2023, and exciting new routes and airlines launching, 2025 could be a landmark year for the industry.

That’s one reason why Dubai Airshow is a must-attend event, with the showcase of the future of aviation taking place at Dubai World Central airport from 17 to 21 November 2025.

The five-day festival of flight attracted more than 135,000 attendees in 2023, and saw orders of more than US$100 billion placed by airlines, including US$52 billion from Dubai-based Emirates.

Commenting on the show, HH Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline, said: "At Dubai Airshow 2025, we anticipate an even bigger and better showcase, creating a new landscape of the industry across nine tracks, with advanced technology and innovative solutions promising to surpass all expectations."

Open to industry professionals, the majority of the show has a commercial aviation and business aviation focus, and will highlight new technology and innovations, including eVTOL aircraft, more commonly known as flying taxis.

There will be an eVTOL flying display, with these due to become a common sight in the UAE when introduced in 2026.

The UAE is an early adopter market for electric air taxi service, with US eVTOL manufacturer Archer recently announcing plans to fly Midnight aircraft — which will operate as a flying taxi — in the emirate in the coming months with a target to launch a passenger flight in Abu Dhabi later in 2025.

Dubai Airshow also has a conference programme that will address the industry’s hottest topics, with more than 250 speakers across four stages.
