National carrier to operate 14 direct flights a week by summer 2026
Oman Air is set to resume twice-daily flights from Muscat to London, due to increased demand.
Starting 26 October 2025, a second daily service will be added to four days of the week, operating on Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, before rolling out to all seven days.
By summer 2026, the airline will operate 14 return flights per week, connecting Muscat International Airport (MCT) with London Heathrow (LHR).
The second service will depart Muscat at 01:40, arriving in London at 05:55. The return service will depart LHR at 08:25, and arrive into MCT at 19:35 local time.
It will be operated by the B787-9 Dreamliner aircraft featuring Oman Air’s signature three-cabin configuration: Business Studio, Business Class and Economy Class.

Con Korfiatis, CEO of Oman Air, said restoring the double-daily service meets the “robust demand” from passengers and supports the sultanate’s wider tourism ambitions.
The UK is one of Oman’s largest inbound tourism markets. Our of the two million foreign visitors Oman welcomed in the first six months of 2024, nearly 50,000 were British tourists, placing them in the sultanate's top five source markets.
In October 2024, the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism launched a promotional campaign in London aimed at attracting more British tourists to Oman. The campaign showcased Omani culture, wildlife, landscapes and year-round attractions.
The Ministry aims to increase the number of international tourists to 11 million by 2040 marking an essential milestone toward Oman Vision 2040.
Oman Air is also adding summer flights to its already successful winter schedule to Russian capital Moscow, with up to three flights a week from May to September.
