One&Only’s first US resort in Montana now open for bookings

Luxury alpine property will welcome guests from November 2025

Set to open its luxury doors in November 2025, One&Only Moonlight Basin in Big Sky, Montana, US is now taking reservations.

Nestled within a huge national forest and surrounded by snowy peaks, Moonlight Basin in Utah’s Montana Rockies marks One&Only’s first alpine resort as well as its debut property in the US.

Positioning itself as a year-round destination, the resort is situated on 240 acres within the Moonlight Basin community, with access to ski slopes, hiking trails and outdoor adventures. Yellowstone National Park is just an hour's drive away.

“Our first alpine resort seamlessly blends refined hospitality with the untamed beauty of nature, offering an unparalleled escape for adventurers and luxury seekers alike," said Mark Kirby, President, One&Only.

Guests can ski, snowboard, snowshoe, Nordic ski and fat tyre bike in winter, and during summer months, enjoy hiking, fly fishing, kayaking, mountain biking and games of golf.

Blending with the backdrop, the One&Only Gondola is heated and offers direct mountain access to the Madison Base area of Big Sky Resort, which features a brand-new eight-seat chairlift for speedy access to nearly 6,000 skiable areas.

The resort’s rooms, suites and cabins have been sensitively designed by renowned architects Olson Kundig, with each integrating into the forested landscape.

All accommodations feature floor-to-ceiling windows, bringing the outdoors in, while warm woods and local art and textiles provide a nod to the mountain location.

There will be six bars and dining venues, including Akira Back, the eponymous restaurant from culinary global leader and former professional snowboarder Chef Akira Back, serving modern Japanese cuisine.

Already open to the community ahead of the resort’s debut in November, the One&Only Sky Lodge features The Landing, a restaurant and bar serving seasonal dishes that is accessible via the One&Only Gondola.

The Lodge also includes a retail space and alpine equipment centre, providing everything needed for a day on the slopes. Alongside a complimentary ski and snowboard valet and day lockers, guests have access to an experienced team who can breathe new life into any equipment.

Beyond skiing, there's a state-of-the-art fitness centre and a restorative spa, ideal for unwinding after a day on the slopes.

Open all year round from 18 November 2025, One&Only Moonlight Basin is now taking bookings.
