The Dorchester Collection has appointed Philippe Leboeuf as Chief Executive Officer, taking over the role in June 2025.

He replaces Eugenio Pirri, who stepped down in December 2024.

With a portfolio of 10 coveted hotels in locations across five countries, Dorchester Collection opened its first hotel in Dubai, The Lana, in 2024, with a second property, The Alba, slated to open in the UAE city in 2028.

As one of luxury hospitality's foremost figures in Europe and beyond, Leboeuf brings more than three decades of experience across regional leadership roles on multiple continents, from France to the US.

A seasoned and award-winning hotelier – granted the Knight of Legion of Honour by the French government in 2014 – French-born Leboeuf has managed some of the world’s most prestigious properties, from the Hôtel de Crillon in Paris to London’s iconic Claridge’s and The Carlyle in New York.

In his most recent position, as Managing Director of Raffles London at The OWO, he oversaw the successful opening of the brand’s first hotel in the UK, a landmark Grade II listed building on Whitehall that underwent a multi-million-dollar transformation, opening in 2023 with 120 rooms and suites.

With a specialism in new openings, Leboeuf also served as Director General of Concorde Hotels, owned by Taittinger, where he oversaw 19 owned and 70 affiliated hotels, and more than a decade at Mandarin Oriental, most recently as VP of Operations, where he supervised the opening of the Marrakech property and had operational oversight of Mandarin Oriental, Geneva.

Among other leadership roles, he was GM of Claridge’s London for three years and VP Operations for Rosewood.

Leboeuf also served as Board Director of Leading Hotels of the World

Commenting on the appointment, Christopher Cowdray, President of Dorchester Collection, said keeping the brand's “renowned culture and values alive” was key in the selection of Leboeuf as CEO.

“Driven by purpose and excellence, [Leboeuf] is highly respected globally by many stakeholders including owners, the travel trade, the media and partners and especially employees and guests.”

As well as The Lana, Dubai, its portfolio of 10 legendary properties includes The Dorchester London, The Beverley Hills Hotel, Hotel Bel Air in LA, Le Meurice in Paris and Hotel Eden in Rome.
