Pullman Dubai Creek City Centre appoints new GM

Hotel Manager Laura Nicli promoted to the role

Seasoned hospitality professional Laura Nicli has been appointed General Manager of Pullman Dubai Creek City Centre Hotel & Residences. 

Nicli brings more than 18 years of global hospitality experience to the role, having overseen the 317-key, five-star Accor property as Hotel Manager since 2023.

Described as having “exceptional leadership and unwavering dedication”, Nicli’s vision, passion and ability to inspire her team have been instrumental in the hotel's continued success, according to Nishan Silva, Regional General Manager Dubai and Emirates North at Accor. 

Under her leadership, Pullman Dubai Creek achieved an 8% year-on-year increase in revenue and 5% growth at the Residences.

No stranger to Dubai, Nicli kickstarted her hospitality career in the UAE city in 2004, as part of the Dubai Department of Tourism & Commerce Marketing (DTCM).

Since then, she has held multiple management roles in both city hotels and luxury resorts across brands such as Novotel, Millennium and Pullman in Europe, Asia and the Middle East, from Frankfurt to Sri Lanka and the Maldives. 

As GM at Savigny Hotel Frankfurt City Messe, she oversaw the pre-opening and opening of the 155-key property, while at Pullman Maldives Maamutaa Resort, she played a pivotal role in the five-star property’s pre-opening, wellness positioning and pandemic response. 

Nicli also served as Deputy GM of an award-winning five-star eco resort in Sri Lanka, bringing her passion for sustainability to Pullman Dubai Creek, where she has since secured sustainability certifications including Green Globe and LEED and spearheaded key initiatives including collaborations with The Waste Lab.

Speaking on her promotion, Laura said she was looking forward to continuing “to elevate our guest experience, champion sustainability, and nurture a culture of inclusivity and empowerment within our team."

Accor has more than 290 properties across all brands in the Middle East, with 130 new locations to be added by 2028.
