What Musafir’s new booking tool means for GCC travel agents

Next-gen platform provides instant access to inventory of flights, hotels, visas, activities

UAE-based travel management platform Musafir is rolling out its next generation booking tool Musafirtag for travel agents and resellers following a successful debut at Arabian Travel market (ATM) 2025.

A unified platform, Musafirtag provides travel agents with customisable, real-time booking access to flights, hotels, transfers, activities and visas.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Thani, Co-founder of Musafir, described Musafirtag as a “bold step forward in reshaping the B2B travel landscape across the region” and “a platform that empowers every agent, every sub-agent and every customer touch point”.

What does that actually mean? Here are the key takeaways for travel agents on what makes Musafirtag different:

Flight connectivity: Agents will have access to multiple global distribution system (GDS) providers and direct integrations with low-cost carriers, and is among the first in the UAE to integrate Emirates airline’s new distribution capability (NDC). This unlocks special Emirates fares and extras like baggage, meals, and upgrades that are not available via traditional GDS systems.

Smart agent management: Agents can customise access, markups, commissions and credit limits, which are useful for scaling regional networks.

White-labelling and custom branding: Agents can launch fully-branded travel portals with real-time engines and curated content, turning resellers into independent travel brands.

Live dashboards and reporting: Agents can see every booking, sale and cancellation with customisable dashboards.

“With Musafirtag, we’re putting cutting-edge tools directly into the hands of travel agents, because they’re the ones driving the industry forward,” said Sachin Gadoya, CEO and co-founder of Musafir.

“We’ve built a platform that’s smart, scalable and future-ready so our partners can spend less time on operations and more time growing their business.”

Musafirtag is currently being rolled out across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman and other Middle East and North Africa (MENA) markets, with additional features and markets in the pipeline.

In February 2025, Musafir identified technology impacting the way UAE residents book their holidays, with customisation and convenience priorities in selecting an online booking platform.
