Bookings now open for summer transfers and trips
Uber is launching helicopter and boat rides on Italy’s Amalfi Coast for the first time this summer, as the region prepares for its busiest season yet
More than 5 million tourists are expected this summer, following the recent opening of Salerno-Costa d'Amalfi Airport, and Uber Copter and Uber Boat aim to help visitors avoid the region’s heavy traffic and packed ferries.
Starting 26 July and running every Saturday and Sunday until 24 August, visitors can book private helicopter rides between Sorrento and Capri or embark on a four-hour private cruise along the Amalfi Coast.
Booked via the Uber app, reservations open on 25 June and require at least 48 hours’ notice.

Departing at 9am from an exclusive helipad in Sorrento, Uber Copter will provide round-trip scenic helicopter transfers to Capri, a 15-minute ride away, with return journeys at 5pm.
The service, which includes all ground transfers, accommodates up to six passengers, and is priced at €250 (AED1,050) per person, totalling €1,500 (AED6,290) per flight.
For those who want to experience the region’s famed coastline from the water, Uber Boat offers private four-hour cruises aboard a classic Italian Gozzo 35 boat. Departing from Sorrento Marina, the service caters to groups of up to 12, with each charter including a personal skipper, complimentary snacks and beverages.

Uber is also expanding its ground transport options with Uber Reserve, allowing travellers to schedule car rides across the Amalfi Coast in advance.
Commenting on the launch, Anabel Diaz, Vice President at EMEA Mobility at Uber, said: “Italy is fast becoming one of our most popular tourist destinations, with travellers turning to the Uber app to help make their holiday travel stress-free. This summer, we’re adding a series of unforgettable experiences that will make traveling by land, sea or air more magical than ever before.”
